Position Summary :
Great Oaks Charter School is seeking an enthusiastic Debate Teacher to inspire and guide our students in the art of argumentation and public speaking.
We're looking for a skilled communicator who can empower students to articulate their ideas clearly, think critically, and engage in respectful discourse.

Responsibilities :
Teach debate techniques, public speaking, and argumentation skills
Coach debate teams for competitions
Organize and oversee in-school debate events
Develop critical thinking and research skills in students
Foster a respectful and inclusive debate environment
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, or related field
Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong public speaking and debate skills
Experience in competitive debate preferred
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Benefits :
Competitive starting salary : $54,000+ Based on Experience.
Certified Staff remain part of the CT Pension System.
