THIS POSITION IS REMOTE BUT CANDIDATE MUST LIVE MINNESOTA
This position oversees pre- and post-award grant processes for Ampact to ensure compliance with grant funding sources including AmeriCorps rules and regulations, and organizational and financial policies.
The top priority of this individual is to ensure the organization stays compliant with all grantor requirements.
Responsibilities are performed under limited supervision and include providing leadership in grant compliance including areas such as budgeting, financial and program reporting, program development and operations as related to all grant funding sources.
This position serves as a resource for staff, provides education and training on related policies and processes, ensures grant proposals are developed and submitted following sponsor and organizational guidelines, and reviews all proposals pre and post award.
In addition, the Grants Manager oversees post-award management activities including reporting as well as compliance and accountability on sponsored funds.
The Grants Management Specialists report to this position. This position is national in scope.
Responsibilities
Provide oversight of post award and closeout phases of grants management to include all of Ampact’s grant funding sources.
This includes understanding the terms and conditions of each award and ensuring compliance with AmeriCorps’ rules and regulations, 2 CFR and all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain expertise on organizational policies, federal regulations, and grant requirements. Research, interpret, and apply regulations and guidelines effectively to ensure compliance.
- Effectively communicate grant awards, requirements, deadlines and timelines to all affected staff. Establish and implement procedures to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met.
- Work closely with Operations Department teams to ensure accounting, record keeping, and any additional compliance requirements are met.
- Serves as point of contact for grantors, state commissions, external regulatory bodies as related to performance and compliance.
Maintain positive relationships with grantors. Serve to ensure internal parties are engaged and prepared for any audits or monitoring reviews.
- Create and implement ongoing internal monitoring plan and tools to ensure grant compliance.
- Oversee response to funder requests for information (example : audits and grant monitoring reviews) to ensure all information is gathered across departments and submitted on time.
- Develop resources, including training and web-based tools, for staff around grant related policies and procedures. Conduct one-on-one and small group trainings, as needed.
- Develop training and communication plan to ensure that all staff understand grant regulations and compliance.
- Assist with onboarding any new states to Ampact’s grant related policies and procedures.
- Provides direct supervision to Grants Management Specialist positions.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience
- 3-5 years experience in grants management; preferred experience with AmeriCorps grants
- Proven interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships, solve problems, manage conflict, and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Ability to set, meet, and manage goals and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
