Water’s Edge Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice , is Florida’s largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast.
It offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology.
The Patient Scheduler / Clinical Scheduling Coordinator acts as a liaison between Water’s Edge Dermatology and its current and potential customers.
The coordinator assists in scheduling appointments, accurately explains diagnoses and treatments, and promptly schedules / coordinates appropriate treatments as outlined by the providers.
The coordinator also answers inquiries, resolves problems, fulfills requests, and maintains the designated database.
Essential Functions :
- Receives, logs, and tracks biopsy results for assigned locations / providers in the practice.
- Schedules patients for provider visits and coordinates referrals outside the practice as directed.
- Coordinates with the patient regarding care plans prescribed by providers.
- Follows up with patients to ensure proper authorization, appropriate referrals, and service payment.
- Follows up on phone calls and voice messages promptly.
- Documents all communication in detail in EMR and follows up as needed.
- Maintains logs with up-to-date information on patient biopsy results daily and weekly.
- Works effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Full-Time 40 hours
- Monday Friday 8 : 00 5 : 00 pm
- Hybrid (Remote / Office) after training / 90 days of hire .
QUALIFICATIONS
Education - This position requires a High School Degree or equivalent completion.
Experience The candidate should have experience working in a contact center or healthcare office. The candidate should know medical terminology and / or patient appointment scheduling.
Prior experience communicating medical / test results to patients is preferred. The candidate should also be proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR).
Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Style T he candidate Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed. The candidate must also be able to analyze and interpret information and interact withand decipher information telephonically and electronically.
