Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

Position requirements and responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

• Assist in estimating and pre-qualification documentation
• Support the Project Managers and Estimators
• Maintain tracking of construction documents such as : submittals, RFI, ITC, COR, CO, etc.
• Assist in project kick-off meetings and end of project meetings with all members of the project team.
• Maintaining project schedules such as progress, milestones, and anticipated delays. Track progress and identify issues relating to project schedules.

Assist in conflict resolutions as needed.

• Assist field personnel with project documentation such as plans, specifications, and submittals.
• Develop additional reports as directed
• Monitor arrival of materials and schedule deliveries
• Will help other departments as needed and additional tasks may be assigned

Responsibilities

• Full Time
• Monday through Friday
• Evening and weekends may be needed based on specific project requirements
• Not a remote position

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher (preferred, not required)
• Construction background, 1-3 years (preferred, not required)
• Estimating, 1 year (preferred, not required)
• Ability and willingness to travel to other branch locations and jobsites (minimal)
• Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner; demonstrate strong written, oral, listening, and presentation skills to confidently interact and coordinate both technical and non-technical issues with the internal project team, vendors, and contractors
• Demonstrates effective organizational and time management skills regarding projects, reports and other commitments; completes assignments in a quality and timely fashion;

able to manage multiple priorities concurrently; is punctual and dependable.

• Skill in listening, problem solving, and running effective meetings with the ability to be open-minded
• Must be skilled in Word, Excel. Have computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills
