Position Summary :
The Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and project management support for quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborates with senior leadership, departments and staff to ensure successful implementation of initiatives supporting the goals of the organization to include advanced analytics, developing and implementing performance improvement strategies, and monitoring key metrics.
Reporting directly to AVP, Operational Performance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following :
- Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
- Operational Performance Analytics :
- Independently performs a variety of analyses, including qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Performs the full analytic spectrum of tasks, beginning with scoping out analytic requirements from stakeholders and ending with presenting key findings to various stakeholders
- Facilitates taskforces and committees of multi-disciplinary teams to identify performance opportunities, develops implementation work plans, implements opportunities, tracks imitative progress and related metrics, and manages delays.
- Promote data driven culture throughout all levels of the organization.
- Ensures that all HIPPA requirements are met
- Technical :
- Uses a mix of front-end applications and SQL databases to extract, clean, and wrangle data. Integrates data from disparate sources while adhering to a high level of data quality.
- Develops and maintains Power BI dashboards to track quality, patient satisfaction and financial metrics
- Writes clear and concise documentation on methods and assumptions for non-technical audiences
- Pro-actively identifies data quality issues and performs essential validation exercises
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 3 years’ progressive experience in healthcare quality improvement / analytics / or consulting environment
- Strong analytic skills including proficiency of Microsoft Excel (& SQL highly preferred)
- Proficient in Data Visualization principles and comfortable using visualization applications (experience with Power BI highly preferred)
- Experience with the following applications preferred : EPIC, MIDAS
