Summary :
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate quality control technicians
Responsibilities :
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
- Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
- Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Investigates and adjusts internal customer complaints regarding quality.
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and / or quality assurance.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a minimum of two years related experience and / or training;
or a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Proven ability to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals by developing and cultivating long-term collaborative work relationships.
- Proven success completing projects, assignments, tasks, business strategies, or goals; setting high standards of performance for self and others.
- Experience taking charge and initiating actions, directing the activities of individuals and groups toward the accomplishment of meaningful goals, adapting leadership strategy to different situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
