We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects for high-end restaurants.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction sites, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities :
- Site Management : Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Coordination : Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders.
- Quality Control : Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the high standards expected in high-end restaurant construction.
- Scheduling : Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating the activities of various trades to ensure timely completion.
- Safety Management : Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
- Budget Oversight : Assist in managing project budgets by tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site, including conflicts between trades, material shortages, or delays.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
- Client Interaction : Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in high-end restaurant or hospitality construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes relevant to restaurant construction.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are a plus.
