Job Summary :
The 92NY School of Music is seeking an energetic and engaging educator to lead early childhood music classes (children under 4).
The focus of the class will be to inspire children through rhythm, movement, and instrument play. Using a creative approach that blends music-making with imaginative play the class will focus on exploring music fundamentals through interactive and dynamic activities.
Job Responsibilities Include :
Lead weekly interactive music classes for children ages 4 and under, using a combination of singing, movement, instrument play, and storytelling to teach musical concepts.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate rhythm instruments, vocal exploration, and imaginative play.
Encourage active participation and collaboration among children, making use of call-and-response, improvisation, and rhythmic exercises.
Foster a positive, energetic, and nurturing learning environment where all children feel inspired to participate and explore music.
Experience, Education, & Skills Desired :
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Early Childhood Music Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred : Orff or Dalcroze certification, or equivalent teaching experience with a focus on music and movement.
Strong background in early childhood music education, with experience leading music classes for young children.
Proficiency in a range of instruments, particularly percussion or rhythm instruments.
Strong singing voice and ability to lead musical activities through song and movement.
Experience in creating a fun, imaginative, and structured learning environment for young children.
Ability to work with parents and children to create a collaborative learning experience.

Work Schedule and Environment
This is a part-time role. Between 4 16 hours of work per week based on our school calendar.
Per Diem Compensation
$60 / hour for group lessons.
