Job Summary :
The Engineering Design Technician will provide design support using AutoCAD and Revit for project support, bid packages, and drawing control across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing / Piping disciplines for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design projects.
Job Duties :
- Meet with project teams and outside engineering firms to gather requirements.
- Produce CAD designs and assist in overall drawing coordination.
- Utilize BIM Revit software and CAD Autodesk AutoCAD tools to develop designs, bid packages, construction, and as-built drawing documentation.
- Receive, review, and adjust as-built AutoCAD / Revit design data to align with CAD standards.
- Check design data into the drawing management system.
- Create or modify drawings to support validation systems for various divisions.
- Work with various teams and manage small- to large-size projects within an engineering specialty.
Qualifications :
- Associate’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant design / drafting experience in an engineering or construction environment.
- Proficient in CAD modeling using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Familiarity with facility process piping (e.g., Compressed Air, Nitrogen, water systems).
- Review and adjust CAD / BIM models.
- Experience in developing process flow diagrams and one-line drawing updates for MEP systems.
- AutoDesk AutoCAD or Revit certification highly desired.
