Summary
JOB SUMMARY :
- The Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing patient referrals to determine establishing care, obtaining / reviewing financial and medical documentation needed for care, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining insurance prior authorizations, and communicating with patient / family regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.
- Performs daily intake tasks and achieve metrics (performance indicator goals) according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensures referrals are processed timely and according to standard operating procedure (SOP).
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma : GED equivalent or High School certificate
- 1-3 years experience with insurance verification and authorization, medical terminology, reviewing physician orders and reviewing referral requirements
- On site position with potential for hybrid remote
