The Role : We are seeking a technically strong Funding Operations Manager to own and drive all of the funding operations with multiple industry partners.
Each month, multiple times a month, we receive funding requests from our industry partners. The Funding Operations Manager will be the main point of contact for receiving these funding requests, planning and communicating timing of fundings, validating the underlying collateral and checking against Underwriting Criteria, revising and finalizing the funding requests with our partners, including tracking of allowable chargebacks, and coordinating and confirming the actual wire transfers.
The role will require a combination of analytical and technology skills, coupled with a collaborative and communicative spirit that is able to work across multiple different CRM platforms and partner relationships.
The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter, highly organized, analytically capable, and detail oriented. This role is a key lynchpin of the operations of the company and the satisfaction of our partners with NexGens capital solution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and maintain relationships with counterparts across multiple industry partners
- Receive and maintain all funding request documents
- Communicate internally and externally the timing and cadence of fundings
- Validate all details of underlying collateral by downloading client detail and comparing against funding request details
- Maintain documented policies and procedures on all aspects of funding terms and conditions, ensure all funding reports are in compliance, including chargeback policies by partner, underwriting criteria by partner, and eligibility criteria by partner.
- Send final funding request reports out to partners, highlighting changes
- Coordinate and initiate funding
- Ad hoc projects and reporting
Skills required
- Bachelors degree from 4-year university
- Business, finance or accounting-related major, a plus
- Previous experience in an analytical position, preferably within a dynamic, growing business environment
- Previous experience in public accounting or other technical fields, a plus
- Extremely strong skillset in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience with business intelligence software such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc, a plus
Previous experience with SQL or other programming languages, a plus
- Confident communicator able to tackle problems logically and efficiently, achieve buy-in from senior stakeholders
- Ability to interact with senior stakeholders, building strong working relationships
- Ability to learn quickly and excel in a lean organization with an entrepreneurial spirit
