Arc Herkimer is looking for Junior Direct Support Professionals to work with individuals with disabilities and help them achieve their goals!!! Junior Direct Support Professionals (Jr.

DSPs) promote positive self-esteem of individuals in a home setting or in the community through consistent positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unconditional respect of individuals’ rights.

We have per diem positions available for this program.

Rate of pay : $15 / hr

The Jr. DSP program is for people those looking to gain experience with working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Activities / duties include, but not limited to :

Assisting individuals with feeding, laundry, cleaning of the residence, yardwork, assisting with outings, 1 : 1 activities within the residence, meal preparation, fire evacuations, or other emergency situations.

Position requirements :

  • Must be between the ages of 16-17 years old.
  • No previous experience is required - we provide paid training!
  • Staff must work a minimum of 16 hours a month (8 of those hours must occur during a weekend shift : Friday 4pm- Sunday 11 : 59pm).
