Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

$33.44 - $50.16 an hour - Full Time, Days. 36 hours a week.

$2.50 / hour for weekend shifts.

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver.

Within our care delivery system, the RN will apply nursing theories, procedures, and standards to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS required by end of conditional period.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• PCCN certification preferred.
• One to two years RN clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Six months to one-year Telemetry / Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills.
• Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes.
• Interprets cardiac monitoring system strips as ordered by physician.
• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition.
• Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary patient care team to identify patient learning needs, develops and implements an individualized teaching plan.
