Description
Responsible for assisting nursing students, using supplemental instruction, and programming, to develop cognitive and career-readiness skills that prepare students to successfully complete the Nursing Program and pass the NCLEX-RN.
This position works with students to identify their strengths, learning styles, and areas requiring further development, and to develop and implement remediation plans as needed.
Typical Qualifications
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN / MS) and at least 2 years of current clinical experience
- Must possess current and active RN Illinois license in good standing with current CPR required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Evidence of continuing nursing education required, especially in area of expertise.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings and activities as well as classroom, laboratory, and clinical supervision of students.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Fundamentals with medical surgical experience preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Indiana RN license a plus.
STATUS / BENEFITS :
This is a regular full-time faculty 9-month position. Classes may be offered during daytime, evening and weekend hours. The salary comes with the following employee benefits : $14,400 Annual Flexible Health Benefit, 12 Medical and 3 Personal Days Earned within First Year of Employment 16 Holidays and 5 Winter break days.
