Responsibilities of the Senior SAP PLM Consultant

At McLane Advanced Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP PLM Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a professional specializing in SAP’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) module.

The successful candidate will be responsible for business process and system analysis, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and the testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of components in an enterprise SAP environment.

The Senior SAP PLM Consultant will :

• Perform business process and system analysis to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Design and develop solutions within SAP PLM modules to meet business needs.
• Test and troubleshoot SAP PLM components to ensure they meet functional requirements.
• Work closely with architects, developers, technical services (i.e., BASIS, Middleware, Portal), and other business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities.
• Involved in the maintenance, enhancement, and development work of SAP PLM modules and those that interface with other applications.
• Provide change management and training support for SAP PLM implementations.
• Participate in on-call support to ensure system availability and performance.
• Configure and customize SAP PLM modules to align with business processes.
• Perform integration testing to ensure seamless data flow between SAP PLM and other SAP modules like MM, PP, EHS, EWM, and SCM.
• Develop and maintain operational and technical documentation of SAP PLM processes.
• Provide user support and troubleshoot issues related to SAP PLM.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Stay current with the latest SAP developments and integration technologies to recommend and implement best practices.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management illustrating the effectiveness of SAP PLM strategies post-implementation.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to SAP PLM implementations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience with SAP.
• Two full project lifecycle experience.
• Experience with Army Logistics.
• Strong knowledge of MM (Material Master), PP (Bills of Materials), and EHS modules.
• Extensive experience with EWM and SCM Product Master and Interchangeability and Substitutability.
• Integration knowledge of MM, ACQ, FIN, SD, PS, QM, and PP modules.
• Some development (debugging) experience.
• Discrete manufacturing SAP experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex scenarios under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• SAP Certified is a plus.
• CompTIA Security+ Certified.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
