You will serve as a LANDING GEAR / HYDRAULICS BRANCH HEAD in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, AIR VEHICLE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SUBSYSTEMS DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
- You will establish all engineering requirements and criteria governing the design, certification, life limits and in-service integrity of air vehicle subsystems via specifications, technical expertise, standards or operating policies / procedures.
- You will evaluate proposals for air vehicle subsystems to identify deficiencies of the design, development, test and evaluation procedures, and components applicable to Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.
- You will plan technical direction of laboratory and flight testing programs including : evaluation of test plans, specifying instrumentation requirements and interpretation / approval of data / test results.
- You will direct subordinates by scheduling work / travel, reviewing work for consistency and completeness, evaluating performance, defining training requirements and interviewing prospective employees.
- You will provide the resources and expertise needed for various programs / projects / team assignments integrating the assets of the Branch across a wide range of customers.
- You will negotiate with Program Managers or Team Leaders to assign capable resources for specific projects and adjust such assignments as needed.
