Rapidly growing company is seeking a recent graduate with 1-2 years accounting experience to work directly with our Controller.

This is a great opportunity for an energetic, detail-oriented professional interested in developing their knowledge and skills in accounting and finance within a small business setting.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to :

• Maintaining general ledger chart of accounts and processing journal entries
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assisting the Controller with month-end / year-end closings and financial statements
• Reconcile and recommend resolution for report discrepancies and problems
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
• Assist with A / P and A / R as needed

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years business experience
• Extremely proficient in Excel
• Strong understanding of the principles of accounting; ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
• Knowledge of basic inventory accounting; understanding of the reconciliation between physical counts and the books
• Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral formats
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deals with frequent delays or unexpected situations
• Must exhibit sound judgment and have the ability to make good business decisions
• Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential material and situations appropriately

Full-time position; Monday through Friday; 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
