RESET Joshua Tree will be the first and only boutique hotel in the Joshua Tree area and will feature Bohemian-chic design centered around nature, comfort, and privacy.

The property sits on 180 acres with uninterrupted views and direct access to the Joshua Tree National Park. Joshua Tree is the only national park near 4 major metropolitans (LA, SD, PHX, LV) and gets 4-5mm visitors to the area every year.

The hotel consists of 65 steel-frame, modular hotel rooms (shipping container inspired), a 3,000 square foot clubhouse with co-workspace, a retail shop and a 1,000 square foot swimming pool with surrounding sun deck, cabanas, a café & bar and communal fire pit.

Rooms include a private, outdoor patio with a firepit / grill and outdoor dining and lounge furniture. Suites will feature an outdoor picnic table / bench, lounge chairs, outdoor showers, and a two-person soaking tub.

Guestroom kitchens will be designed with a mini refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, dishware, and glassware while guestroom bathrooms are modern spa-inspired with walk-in showers, toilet, and vanity sink.

Your Responsibilities

From day one, you’ll be thrust into the action. In this role, you’ll own the exciting tasks of creating financial stability, while continuing to operate with a high degree of service and culture.

The ideal candidate will have a creative mind and will be able to set the property apart from the local landscape by inspiring exceptional service and creating unique hotel guest experiences.

Delivering guest experiences that go above and beyond, creating raving reviews, and attracting media attention, through seasonal programming and community partnerships, all within the parameters of budget and expenses.

Managing the property for financial performance, working with the on-site and corporate teams to prepare materials and communicate results with hotel stakeholders.

Required- owner operator mentality. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting.

In addition, the General Manager must have strong knowledge in Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing. This leadership position actively participates in community / industry organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Hotel management, or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have minimum 10-years varied management experience in the hospitality industry including General Manager.
  • Additional experience that comes to mind : independent hotels, F&B operations & Experience Programming.
  • Must be able to analyze a profit and loss statement and extrapolate information from it and related reports.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have working knowledge of accounting systems, property management systems and housekeeping products and procedures.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.
  • Fluent in English and ability to speak other languages is a plus.
