Machine Operator- County Materials-Pipe

Louis Mo Pipe. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply. Job Duties : Roll wire mesh for reinforced concrete manholes and pipe manufacturing using a cage wire rolling machine.

Attention to detail must be able to read and to interpret production shop drawingsEnsures machine is kept clean and well maintained at all times.

Good math skills- must be able to use a tape measurePerform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting the wire machine as neededGeneral understanding of manufacturing processesAble to use or the ability to learn how to tack weld and use a torchAble to learn how to operate a forklift and overhead cranesWork closely with Plant Supervisor making sure that all wire cages are produced as per the production schedule.

Work Environment : Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperaturesWork near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazardsWork in confined spacesWork in a noisy environment Physical Requirements : SittingCarrying / Lifting 10 - 40 PoundsStanding / Walking / ClimbingSquatting / Crouching / Kneeling / BendingPushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder Experience & Qualifications : Ability and willingness to learn and be trainedSafety minded when performing tasksHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to operate forklift or other mobile equipment preferred, not required.
