JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

• The Product Specialist position supports Product Portfolio Management with the introduction and management of Viega LLC product lines;
• conducts technical and competitive analysis; edits Marketing and Technical Marketing product information in various outputs to ensure accuracy;

creates and maintains spreadsheets and various records; designs drawings utilizing skilled drafting methods with the operation of computer-aided design (CAD) equipment and software.

Assists with implementation of customer facing documentation to enhance competitive advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Product Portfolio Support

• Evaluates and resolves product related tasks assigned by Product Portfolio Management.
• Investigates and analyzes new and existing product and application issues to determine appropriate changes / corrections needed to rectify the issue;

communicates changes with appropriate personnel.

Develops and writes product technical data sheets, installation manuals, and various operating and safety instructions;

tests data and systems to ensure accuracy

• Proofreads and updates technical manuals to conform to marketing, engineering and product changes; ensures proper follow-up with appropriate personnel / department to inform of such changes
• Creates and maintains necessary records, product drawings, files, technical data and reports associated with Viega LLC product lines
• Creates and maintains spreadsheets; updates all necessary records, files, technical and competitive data and reports
• Supports implementation of product development plans
• Provides support in determining codes and standard requirements; prepares detailed product development specifications
• May assist in testing products and applications to ensure they are consistent with high quality standards
• Serves as technical support, as requested
• Assists Marketing with the construction of trade show exhibits; reviews marketing documentation, secures product availability for product photography;

participates in trade shows as needed

• Delivers professional product presentations to cross-functional teams and business partners
• Prepares CAD models and engineering drawings from observation, measurements, sketches and specifications, utilizing CAD software;

review and revise drawings and Bills of Material

Creates layout, product specifications and drawings for outside vendor sourced items; review schematics and answer related questions

• Attends meetings as required and / or assigned
• Performs other duties as required and / or assigned

Special Job Dimensions

Will be required to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Knowledge of product documentation, Bill of Materials (BOM’s), datasheets, etc.

• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
• Knowledge of computer aided engineering programs (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoDesk, Catia)
• Ability to document test procedures and results
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions
• Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with;

Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level

Education, Certification / License & Work Experience

2years of related work experience in plumbing, HVAC or related industry experience

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Total Rewards Package :

Compensation :

• Base : $71,000 - $92,000 annually (CO), based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
• Bonus : This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
