Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Schedules requests for surgeries and procedures to accommodate appropriate parties.
2. Demonstrates service skills to provide an exceptional customer service experience.
3. Proactively problem solves access to meet stakeholder needs and optimize resource utilization.
4. Performs administrative tasks related to the surgery / procedure to ensure timely delivery of care, including obtaining or verifying prior authorization or performing patient registration.
5. Addresses patterns of access concern and escalates to appropriate leader or group.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Health Care experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
- Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
- Infrequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents
- Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients
- Use of computers throughout the work day
- Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers
- Normally works in climate controlled office environment
- Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space
Travel to one of our other Ortho clinics with the provider one day a week, usually Fridays. Waupaca or Neenah and would only be 1 or 2 Fridays a month.
Travel time and mileage to Waupaca location reimbursed.
