About the Role :

This role is a System Integration Engineer who is part of the System Integration and Test department. A System Integration Engineer is responsible for developing an integration plan based on system and subsystem specifications and models, integrating software with hardware products, and providing inputs to Test Engineering for requirements verification.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop Interface Control Drawings, System Specifications, Subsystem Specifications, System Architecture models, Block Definition Diagrams, and Software Version Descriptions among other design artifacts in accordance with the program's Integrated Functional Capability plan to meet contractual obligations.
  • Through planning and hands-on execution in lab environment and customer sites, facilitate the interface of hardware and software to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineering to derive requirements and develop system models.
  • Incorporate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile best practices into System Integration and Test tasking.
  • Support the development of System Integration and Test Basis of Estimates for proposals.
  • Present System Integration artifacts to internal and external program leadership.
  • Demonstrate an attention to detail and ability to document system design and implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in developing customer deliverables including data flow models and system design documentation.
  • Experience with embedded systems, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience in integrating and troubleshooting software components.
  • Experience in integrating and troubleshooting networked systems.
  • Experience briefing program or corporate senior leadership.
  • Ability to read and evaluate ICDs, wiring schematics, and system documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
  • Familiarity with interface standards such as MIL-STD-1553 and STANAG 4586.
  • Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) concepts such as Open Mission Systems (OMS), Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), OpenVPX, and Microservices and Containers.
  • Familiarity with MBSE, FVL Architecture Framework, and system modeling tools such as Cameo.
