General Job Summary
The Northern Region Commercial Sales Manager (RSM) will partner with, lead and support our Market based Business Development Managers in Chicago, St.
Louis, Columbia MO, Omaha NE and other markets as expansion occurs and needs dictate. The successful RSM will drive operational awareness of the field and store teams to support profitable sales growth within existing processes and systems and help close sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Business Development Managers across multiple markets to meet and then exceed established sales budgets.
- This includes job shadowing, going on sales calls with them, helping them source product and solve customer issues.
- Drive adoption of our website designed to allow Commercial Customers to buy more through a competitive online ordering solution.
- Specifically target sales growth to the Multi-Family / Property Management customer segment.
- Creating repeatable sustainable and predictable business.
- Lead your team to utilize and adopt all logistical support mechanisms at their disposal including but not limited to : Website, Commercial Fulfillment Centers & delivery, System wide / automatic pricing, leveraging bulk buys and etc.
- Align with District leadership and other business stakeholders, DMs, GMs, AMs and store support center team members to accomplish overall business goals and objectives.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline (or 5+ years relevant work experience).
- Keen understanding of retail operations, relationship sales skills, inventory management and business fundamentals.
- Refined interpersonal skills to engage with others, solid negotiating and conflict resolutions abilities.
- Able to foster teamwork and collaboration. Can motivate others both internal and external to perform enthusiastically.
- Ability to deliver necessary training across all levels of associates.
- Ability to access the local competitive environment and develop appropriate B2B strategies.
- Must have excellent leadership capabilities, communication written and verbal, and attention to detail and follow up.
- Excellent PC skills including skilled knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook as well as various MS Operating Systems.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work remotely with various departments at the Store Support Center.
- Travel as required.
- Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing.
Compensation Details
$75000-85000 / year
