The Systems Engineer in the Information Technology Department will be responsible for planning, implementing, verifying, and troubleshooting server technologies, including local on-premises and VMware, MS, and more.
This role also requires a hands-on working knowledge of Cisco networking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support multi-site Active Directory, including best practices, replication management, group policy objects, domain trusts, federation, and disaster recovery planning.
- Support, Implement, and Manage AKS, Service Fabric resources, and Azure storages / servers.
- Maintain / Renew CA and GoDaddy certificates.
- Manage hosted Exchange, including email best practices, day-to-day email management, configuration management, public folders, email archive, e-discovery, and encryption.
- Administer Azure Active Directory, Office 365, AD Connect, Intune, Azure networking.
- Support unified communications platforms such as Teams phone.
- Implement cloud-based single sign-on experience with Azure AD or similar technology.
- Manage mobile device management platform, including provisioning and creation of mobile device policies using Intune and / or ManageEngine.
- Handle Microsoft patch management and deployment.
- Ensure data backup and recovery using appropriate tools such as Azure backups.
- Manage MS Defender and CrowdStrike antivirus, ManageEngine, PRTG, or similar enterprise software tools.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of TCP / IP networks and related technologies.
- Experience supporting and managing Cisco / Meraki networking hardware, including access points, switches, and firewalls.
- Available for after-hours support and on-call rotation as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer, preferably with an MCSE certification.
- 3-5 years of experience with Cisco / Meraki, preferably with a CCNA certification.
- 2+ years of experience with Axure networking.
- Highly experienced with VMWare.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with high availability / site recovery design principles.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft SQL, and Office 365.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft-based systems and services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, VSS, DFS, etc.
- Well-rounded knowledge of storage solutions such as Dell Compellent, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION :
- Additional certifications relevant to server technologies and networking.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Veeam backup and replication experience.
- Knowledge of network security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard, ten-key, and telephone;
- frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds;
- may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, crawling, handling, feeling, kneeling, climbing, twisting;
and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Working environment is primarily indoors in an office setting and occasionally outdoors for special events; requires some evening and possible weekend hours and requires use of telephone and other office equipment.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets.
The expected salary range for California applicants is $80,000 to $95,000. Applicants in other states will be paid commensurate with market data.
