Our client, a game studio with an impactful IP is looking for a Principal Game Engineer. As Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for personally tackling some of the most important technical challenges, as well as guiding the evolution of our technologies and mentoring our engineering team.
The role is 80% coding, 20% management.
- Tackle engineering challenges
- Knowledge of the game's technical components and improvements needed
- Definite and prioritize tasks
- Risk assessment, balance risks, coordinate resources,
- Review deliverables
- Mentor performance of engineering team
- 7+ years of game engineering experience, console and PC experience
- Knowledgeable with shipping multiple original games
- FPS experience or third person
- Action games experience preferred
- Knowledge of game systems
- Unreal experience a big plus
