Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician - Lead to join our team. This position guarantees 40 hours a week.

The role involves traveling to customer locations, primarily north of Bakersfield and as far east as Nevada, to perform pressure washing and repair tasks on rolling racks and carts used by grocery stores.

Overnight stays may be required occasionally, but most days you will return home. This job entails working outside in various weather conditions and requires physical activities such as bending, lifting, and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites, both locally and out of town / state, using a company truck.
• Perform welding tasks following standard safety procedures and proper welding techniques, ensuring all frame welds are fully welded and checked for strength, and removing sharp edges or wires.
• Conduct steam cleaning using standard safety procedures and proper techniques.
• Repair carts with a solid understanding of cart repair knowledge.
• Safely and properly use power tools and hand tools.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the truck and daily work area.
• Load and unload parts and waste from the truck daily.

Essential Skills

• Experience with power tools.
• Comfortable with using a Smartphone and / or Tablet.
• Available for shifts starting approximately 1 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 AM, Monday through Friday, with some weekends as needed.
• General labor experience.
• Mechanical repair skills.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with wire feed welding is helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of cart repair.
