As a Commodity Management Professional includes negotiation with suppliers, supplier relationship management, business case and sourcing strategy preparation / execution, reporting, problem solving, supply chain risk mitigation as well as alignment meetings with internal / external x-functional team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop a competitive supplier portfolio through continuous assessment of the supplier base performances against relevant business KPIs (costs, performance, quality, etc.).
- Define and implement a Commodity and Pooling strategies upon close alignment with cross functional stakeholders, such as Operative Procurement, Engineering and Finance / Controlling.
- Translate the global commodity strategy (Ecosystem) into Business Unit specific strategy and update this documentation regularly.
- Communicate and teach the commodity strategy to stakeholders to ensure the proper execution.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements and quotes for engineering services.
- Manage and foster the long-term relationship with key suppliers and reduce dependencies on avoidable suppliers.
- Support market & supplier analysis and perform supplier scouting initiatives based on demands within our R&D Functions.
- Ensure PVO transparency for assigned commodities, correct ESN coding to ensure a correct reporting and to derive an appropriate commodity strategy.
- Identify specific procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage / exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk / opportunity management.

- Comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and proficiencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering Technical Knowledge
- Experience managing Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
- Familiar with operations in SAP.
- English, at professional working proficiency level.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time.
- Collaborative approach to working within a team environment; a consensus builder.
- You enjoy processing, sharing and interpreting information in a global team.
- Excellent communication Skills.
