Position Summary :
As Technical Administrative Support, you will support Commander Surface Fleet Atlantic (CNSL) Fleet Maintenance Office (N43) in the development of Engineering Bulletins, Naval messages, presentations, reports, analytical graphs, technical directives / instructions, and maintain organizational documentation and access lists. Strong attention to detail.
We are actively recruiting candidates for this position for future work which is expected to start in March 2025.
Clearance Requirement :
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain / maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Collect input, format, and produce CNSL Fleet Maintenance (N43) Engineering News Bulletin on quarterly basis.
Compose standard naval messages using Common Message Processor (CMP) program based on input provided. Review and edit draft messages for completeness and accuracy.
Develop, edit, and finalize draft and smooth N43 'read aheads' and presentation material using standard templates for use in senior level briefings.
Coordinate with metrics analysts to develop engineering and technical analysis presentations for technical papers, presentations or reports.
Develop excel spreadsheets to provide analytical graphs and reports for inclusion in presentations and reports.
Compose, edit and review draft Naval Directives and Instructions for submission. Track through the CNSL command on routing for final approval.
Administratively check and submit Naval message, such as New Work Messages, Availability Expectations, CNO PCD Guidance, and JFMM changes.
Maintain, update, and submit Organizational Chart, Recall Bill, Muster Report, and Shipyard / Ship Access Lists
Responsible for timely, accurate and concise deliverables
Required Education, Skills, and Experience :
High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred
Ten years of work experience as military, civil service, or contractor supporting a U.S. Naval Command.
Five years of experience with administrative, office and / or clerical experience
Detailed knowledge and expertise of Naval administrative and correspondence policies, instructions and regulations required
High degree of technical skills using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience developing, tracking, and monitoring metrics and / or conducting deep dive analysis in Naval Engineering subject area
Preferred Skills and Experience :
Microsoft Office Certifications
Physical Demands and Expectations :
Up to 25% travel
Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing;
occasional prolonged sitting
Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
