Do you enjoy fashion, keeping up with the latest teen and young adult trends, dealing with clothing, and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment?
If so, you could be a great fit for our Customer Experience Artist position at Plato's Closet!
At Plato's, we buy and sell teen and young adult clothing. All day every day, customers bring in clothing to sell to us. Our Clothing Evaluators (aka "Buyers") go through the customer's clothing and inspect each piece to check for both style and condition.
Is the piece of clothing currently trending for teens and young adults? If so, is the current piece of clothing in good condition (no holes, stains, excessive wear)?
If so, buy it! If not, pass.
That's what you'll be doing all day every day. Customers bring in A LOT of clothes, so you'll need to be someone who can move quickly and efficiently to avoid keeping the customers waiting too long.
You'll also need to have a great sense for what's in style and what's not. If you don't like fashion, this is not the job for you.
This is not a desk job. You'll be on your feet all day, every day, constantly interacting and engaging with team members, customers, and looking through clothing.
Responsibilities
- Quickly and efficiently evaluate clothing customers bring in to ensure it's good style and condition
- Present offers to customers for their clothing in a positive fashion, focusing on the customer-experience and leaving a good impression
- Foster a positive, productive environment with your team and customers

- Embrace change, take risks, and try new ideas to help our store grow and evolve
Requirements
- A passion for clothing and current teen / young adult styles and trends
- Ability to work quickly and stay focused
- A friendly, positive personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift 50lbs without assistance
