JOB TITLE : Wrapper, Packer, Feeder (WPF)

DEPARTMENT : Production

REPORTING FUNCTION : Production Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION :

To work together as a team and be responsible for feeding quality products into the wrapping machine. Ensuring that your work area is clean and free of debris.

Promoting teamwork, respectful behaviors, collaboration, and communication across the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• To feed quality products, salted nut, nut goodies, bun bars, into the wrapping machine at the speed of the production line which is approximately 160-200 bars per minute.
• Check code dates on every carton that is pushed through.
• To pack quality, wrapped product (as list above) into cartons in the appropriate quantity at the speed of the production line which is approximately 160-200 bars per minute and check for code date accuracy.
• To unwrap listed product not of quality and stack on trays for re-processing.
• Stack bars when machines go down in a timely fashion.
• To ensure that all duties are performed in a neat and organized manner, requiring sweeping and other general cleaning duties and dumping scraps on a regular basis.
• Practice and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• To perform lifting of 25 pounds at two-minute intervals.
• To perform repetitive lifting of up to 65 pounds.
• To perform the duties in an erect position standing or sitting over a moving production line conveyor belt on a continual basis.
• To perform duties requiring standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling, reaching, and grabbing on a continuous basis throughout the day.
• To perform wrapper, packer, feeder duties in a rotation system throughout all production line operations and to stock cartons at the packing table.

Rotations will vary from ¼ of an hour to weekly.

• To ensure that your work area is cleaned throughout the day end at the end of your scheduled shift, and to help others clean their area when there is downtime and during changeovers.
• To perform WPF duties in a rotation system throughout the day while stocking cartons at the packing table.
• To wear appropriate protective equipment while performing duties.
• To comply with all rules and regulations and to continuously practice safety while performing duties.
• To develop and maintain positive working relationships as a team with other employees and other departments as a responsibility in fulfilling all job functions.
• A commitment to quality assurance to ensure we manufacture quality products for our customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

RELIEF COVERAGE It is also the responsibility of the relief employee to help on any machine on the production floor when there is down time doing clean up, working on repacks, and stickering cases.

Communicate with your lead / supervisor if you do not have something to do.

BACKUP COVERAGE In the absence of the WPF, the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor shall be responsible to make provisions to cover for the absence with a qualified associate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably high-speed production line operations.
