They are looking for a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team, contributing to the design and analysis of renewable energy structures such as wind turbines, solar arrays, and energy storage systems.
Job Description :
As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural components for renewable energy projects.
You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all structural designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for renewable energy projects, including wind turbines, solar arrays, and energy storage facilities.
- Perform structural calculations and simulations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and support the development of new projects.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices related to structural engineering and renewable energy.
- Actively pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, with mentorship and support from senior engineers.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; actively working towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, RISA, or similar).
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, AISC, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
