Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer to join our team in the construction industry, specializing in infrastructure, water management, and energy projects.

Responsibilities :
Procurement Management : Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services related to infrastructure, water management, and energy projects.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Supplier Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Evaluate their performance and reliability to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
- Market Analysis : Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new products, and cost-saving opportunities. Stay updated on industry standards and innovations in infrastructure, water management, and energy.
- Budget Management : Monitor and manage procurement budgets. Ensure that purchasing activities align with project budgets and financial goals.
- Compliance and Documentation : Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and contract terms.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and correspondence.
Project Coordination : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, including delays, quality concerns, and supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.
g., Certified Purchasing Professional) are a plus.
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or buying within the construction industry, with a focus on infrastructure, water management, and energy projects.
- Skills : Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services specific to infrastructure, water management, and energy sectors.
