Researches markets and venues to identify opportunities for events and works with internal stakeholders to determine precise event requirements;

- Assists with developing communication materials that will target current and potential customers in order to gain additional brand exposure for Kawasaki.
- Prepares show estimates and manages annual and event budgets, all event logistics and administrative support related to consumer-facing programs and internal corporate events.
- Oversees all pre-show arrangements including signage, POS materials, promotional materials, brochures, etc. Coordinates with show promoters to determine display location, room layouts, booth size, and entertainment program;
schedules workshops and demonstrations.
- Ensures latest promotions and marketing campaigns are integrated on-site.
- Manages the administration of the department’s motorcycle, ATV, SXS and PWC loan pools.
- Establishes event layouts and product lists for display including drawings.
- Oversees and manages event venues, labor, caterers, display designers, contractors and equipment; coordinates with suppliers, handles client inquiries and ensures that all events run smoothly.
- Procures vendors agreements and negotiates all rates.
- Conducts post-event evaluation including data entry and analysis. Produces post-event reports for review and future considerations.
- Provides show communication packet detailing booth location, promotions, display product, etc. to the entire working team.
- Coordinates and supervises on-call team to meet event needs and determines roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinates with event promoters to maintain Kawasaki website links and banners; maintains Kawasaki website with current show information.
- Maintains show evaluation files to assist with assessment for future participation.
- Researches new shows and provides recommendations based on established criteria for targeting new customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Directly supervises employees in the consumer events department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience :
A Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) or equivalent from a four-year college is preferred; and a minimum of 10 years related event management and event operations experience and / or training in a consumer events environment;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
