Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations : Software Engineers at Motorola Solutions are involved in the design and development of state of the art microprocessor-based digital communication systems.
Software development phases include requirements capture, design, implementation and test. These phases will be conducted using mature software development processes such as TDD & Agile methodologies.
Specific Knowledge / Skills :
- Knowledge of Java, Android Studio and Android SDK
- Embedded software development using Object Oriented Design
- Knowledge of C / C++, and / or Python is a plus
- Knowledge of software development in the linux kernel is a plus
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum development methodology is a plus
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
Basic Requirements
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in one of the following degree programs : Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
