Overview
Implements IT strategic and operational plans to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
Assists in the development, tracking and control of the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.

Responsibilities
- Develops business case justifications and cost / benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Assesses and communicates risks associated with IT investments.
- Develops, maintains and executes the technology disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Assesses and makes recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
- Champions the IT governance process and participates in the vendor management and enterprise risk management processes.
- Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for technology implementations.
- Develops requests for information and requests for proposals for technology solutions.
- Negotiates and administers vendor, outsource partners and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Develops and executes deployment plans for technology solutions.
- Advises, counsels and educates executives and management on the competitive or financial impact of technology related solutions.
- Assists in the promotion and oversight of strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors and partner organizations.
- Supervises recruitment, development, retention and organization ofIT Systems staff. Works with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Oversees and manages projects and the project portfolio to include reports and software development.
- Oversees ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements. Develops and implements processes to support continuous delivery of IT services.
- Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices.
Qualifications
- Experience with project management philosophy, methodology, technology, and concepts.
- Experience with process improvement, quality management, and quality assurance strategies.
- Knowledge of change management and implementation.
- Understanding of credit union operations, programs and organization.
- Knowledge of standard software development lifecycle management processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of database technologies and Structured Query Language.
- Knowledge of financial institution application fundamentals and industry trends.
- Business analysis and project management fundamentals.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Required Experience / Education :
- Five years of experience managing and / or directing an information technology functional area, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Previous experience managing a team of project managers is desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or related field, required.
- PMP certification desired.
Physical Considerations :
- Must be able to effectively read, write, and listen as well as communicate verbally, electronically and in written form with employees, members, board members, vendors, and the general public as required.
- May be asked to handle, move, and / or carry large boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- May require stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for limited periods of time.
- May require sitting and standing for long periods of time.
