A Day in the Life of a Consumer Loan Processor II

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Lending, in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations, responsible for the management of personal loan queue by making timely and consistent contact with members to close consumer loans.

Prepares consistent, complete, and compliant loan packages. Promotes credit union products and services.

  • Heavy Inbound and outbound call management is expected. Answer all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, address member needs and route calls to appropriate lending personnel, when necessary.
  • Return any missed calls and or emails in a timely manner throughout the day, ensuring that every member receives a response before the end of the business day.
  • Possess a deep understanding of lending processes, policies, procedures, and state / federal regulations.
  • Ensure the expeditious closing of member loans and fulfill all lending related requests.
  • Receive and or research information needed to assess and fulfill the member's needs. Follow through to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Lending personnel must consistently cross sell appropriate loan products and credit union services when reviewing credit reports and member accounts.
  • Assist with monitoring the Lending eFax and email account as need.
  • Obtain and manage loan documentation using Loancierge and Signer Attachment software systems.
  • Work closely with the member and Loan Officer to meet expectations of superior member satisfaction.
  • Close loans remotely or member may be in other branch locations.
  • Responsible for clearing all noted conditions of the loan to disburse loans efficiently and within all established policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Respond promptly to member loan inquiries.
  • Work directly with members, auto dealerships, insurance agencies and financial institutions.
  • Aid members interested in obtaining mortgage financing.
  • Explain loan decisions in a professional, courteous manner. Work with members to provide recommendations or alternative options when denied.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Do you have basic mathematical sills with a high attention to detail? Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills with basic computer knowledge (e.

g. Word, Excel & Outlook Email)? Are you able to work as team in a fast paced environment? Do you have lending experience and knowledge of federal and state regulations?

This Full Time position is up to 40 hours per week. Rotating Saturdays are required. Flexibility is a must. Bilingual in Spanish is highly desired.

Our lobby hours are : Monday through Friday : 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Our Saturday hours are : 9 : 00 a.m. to 1 : 00 p.m.
