Job Description

Primary Function of Position

Achieve given team performance goals for production. The goals will include efficiency, FPY, hours accuracy, scrap, time lost accuracy, DHR accuracy, and first pass cycle count.

Essential Job Duties

  • Hire, train, develop, and motivate production personnel to follow procedures, meet high quality standards, production schedules and productivity requirements
  • Redline Manufacturing Process Instructions to ensure they remain up to date
  • Address line support issues as they arise (including technical-related issues)
  • Work closely with Engineering to resolve production issue and effectively participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Document and report any variances, problems, issues, or concerns
  • Provie production personnel with expectations and performance feedback quarterly
  • Plan, supervise, drive improvement, and report production performance including output, yields, root cause failures, efficiencies, and trends
  • Assist in setting and attaining quarterly and annual production goals
  • Learn and enforce company safety policies and practices
  • Support various Lean Manufacturing initiatives that involve a Mfg. based team
  • Support sub-assembly or process outsourcing initiatives
  • Review / approve ECOs to establish impact on manufacturing
  • Review and disposition discrepant material. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability (with respect to tooling and assembly methods). Provide suggested change proposals, or tooling concepts during design process phase

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFT, and 6 Sigma with an emphasis in 6S
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound Analytical Skills

Required Education and Training

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years’ experience as a proven contributor in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, or a related field
  • Education Requirement may be waived for internal candidates with 5+ years of experience with Intuitive

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous Medical Device Industry Experience
  • Previous Experience with SAP, Agile, or equivalent systems
  • Six Sigma Certification

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for multiple hours
  • Ability to travels up to 10% of the time

Base Salary Range Region 1 : $84,100 - $121,000

Base Salary Range Region 2 : $71,400 - $102,800

Travel : 10% of the time
