Overview Purpose Statement / Position Summary : The Research Post Doc Fellow, is in training to help develop the academic knowledge and research fundamentals, teaching expertise and administrative experience necessary to be an exemplary researcher.

Perform laboratory work and conduct research activities independently or in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.

Publish results in scientific manuscripts and research publications. Participate in seminars, meetings, trainings and other educational sessions.

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD postdoctoral fellow with expertise in preclinical models of intestinal inflammation and stem cell biology.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven and an excellent team collaborator. Strong experimental (wet lab) skills and scientific writing abilities are essential.

While experience with bioinformatics analysis (e.g., RNAseq) is advantageous, training will be provided if necessary. Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : Exposure to and / or experience in research in a healthcare environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications : Experimental analysis of mechanisms controlling intestinal epithelial secretory cell differentiation Experience with mouse models of intestinal inflammation Proficiency in organoid culture models Knowledge of host-pathogen interactions Education / Licensure / Certification : MD and / or PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree.

Pay Scale Information $29,640.00-$80,196.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
