Live-in Housekeeper who is animal friendly

Private family with a private property on 300 acres is seeking a Live-in Housekeeper to work full time in their 6,500 square foot home.

The residence has many antiques and some wood and stone floors. An affinity for animals is highly desired, and compatible pets are welcome (up to and including horses).

A Housekeeper with an outgoing, calm and confident personality is ideal. The family encourages their employees to have a life outside of the property, and family / friends are always welcome.

the caretaker residence is yours as if it was your own home. This is definitely a professional Housekeeper who loves animals! The position can be broken down as 2 / 3 housekeeping of the home and 1 / 3 animal caretaking.

Although the position is definitely a one person job, the family will offer health benefits to a spouse if they are willing to parse out the barn chores.

The family has eight horses, one barn cat, occasional chickens and six dogs on the property which is located just East of Colorado Springs (35 minutes to downtown).

It takes about 1 / 2 hour in the Am and again in the PM to feed / water and keep things tidy at the barn...they try to keep the animals out on pasture as much as possible, but they like to see / check on the animals at least once a day.

When they travel, the animal's needs are fairly easy...basically take care of the dogs and feed and water the horses and be observant and call the vet if one of them seems "off".

As a routine, the caretaker usually feeds horses during the week, and then does the horse / barn / chicken chores over weekends.

The Principal's have found that the housekeeping usually takes about 4 hours a day to do the daily stuff (beds, laundry, kitchen and floors as needed) and stay ahead of things, so unless they're getting ready for a dinner party or company, it's a 4-6 hour day if you include the horse feeding.

The family does bring in subcontractors to routinely deep clean and seal the stone floors.

Work days / hours : Monday - Friday 9 : 30am - 1 : 30pm

Compensation : $75,000 - $78,000. Housing on the property is provided for the Live-in Housekeeper in addition to full health benefits.

The family is offering a competitive salary, health benefits, private housing w / utilities included. Couples considered / desired if spouse anticipates primary employment off property.

Must also enjoy dogs and caretake of animals and property when the family travels. Background check and verifiable references required.
