Due to our continued rapid growth, we are seeking an Associate Logistics Specialist with a focus on packing and processing parcel shipments and pallets for LTL and air freight shipments, domestically and internationally.
Applicants should have a thorough working knowledge of shipping processes and experience in production environments.
Essential Accountabilities :
Responsible for packing and processing parcel shipments and pallets for LTL and air freight shipments, domestically and internationally
Strong communication, follow-through, and professionalism skills when interacting with freight companies and other Omni departments
Pick and stage sales orders
Pick and pack components and assemblies, as well as build skids, pallets, and appropriately strap items for shipment
Ship components and assemblies via UPS, FedEx, and other parcel services, as well as request LTL and dedicated trucks for timely delivery
Accurately complete BOL and other required shipping documents
Maintain and continually improve the organization of the shipping area
Maintenance tasks and errands, and other duties as needed
Follow all Omni processes and procedures
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years' proven shipping and inventory control experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Prior experience with inventory management and shipping / receiving practices preferred
Knowledge of SLI's / BOL's.
Familiar with customs documentation (IE., ITNs, harmonized codes, etc.)
Light construction knowledge for skid and crate building
Familiarity with warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks
Safety training experience is a plus
Experience with FedEx platforms and UPS manifest systems, including international shipping
Strong communication skills with an ability to be clear and concise
Computer proficiency and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
Experience with ERP systems a plus
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Positive attitude with an ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

Lifting and / or moving of up to 45 lbs.
