Duties Description Some weekend and evening work will be required to meet programmatic needs.
DUTIES DESCRIPTION :
This position will support the Region 3 Capital District Comprehensive Adult Transitional (CATH) new development along with similar programs with individuals with high support needs.
The TTL will be intricate in the development of the Grooms Road CATH Home, be a part of the Intensive Support Team (IST), develop expanded community opportunities and the development of programmatic and assessment needs of the new population at Grooms Road, and oversee up to five homes in addition to the Grooms Road / CATH house.
This TTL will also work toward building capacity with the Placement Coordinator to create vacancies to support the safety net population we need to serve in State Operations.
Responsibilities and Duties to include but not limited to :
- Plan, organize, and supervise the implementation of residential and day habilitation programs for Developmentally Disabled individuals in community settings.
- Have program and administrative responsibility for the treatment activities of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and direct and coordinate a total program tailored to the individual needs of consumers.
- Perform oversight responsibilities for Medicaid billing program as well to reduce voids and dis allowances.
- Provide overtime management of their assigned team to reduce the costs associated with the large amount of vacancies within the district.
- Ensure all staff understand the mission of the agency, philosophy, and goals, plus their own role in the organization.
- Maximize each individual's valued outcomes and maintain a safe, sanitary environment while controlling personal service costs;
ensuring appropriate training for all staff.
- Ensure appropriate and timely follow-up on problem issues identified by auditors and / or other individuals within and external to the agency.
- Participate fully and constructively as a member of the DDSOO and local administrative teams in planning, coordinating, and developing a sound residential and habilitative program.
- Oversee incident management within their assigned team to ensure adequate protections are put in place thereby reducing liabilities to OPWDD.
- Serve as DDSO Administrator on Duty, requiring periodic 24-hour on call and on-site supervisory responsibility; must also be available to take emergency calls and provide management oversight and support for the county team on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
