What you’ll be doing :

The Manager of Special Projects will work with the Real Estate, Construction, Operations, Marketing, and IT teams to manage several projects throughout Florida and Michigan.

Candidates should have experience in construction and car wash operations.

The Manager of Special Projects will report directly to the Head of Construction. They work closely with the Project Team to ensure timely completion of all phases of the acquisition of existing car wash sites.

Their responsibilities include creating project prioritization, completing project status reports, identifying key requirements within each specific initiative, and manage project communications to ensure successful execution and close out.

They will oversee material and equipment procurement and control project costs throughout execution. This is a challenging and rewarding position in which the Manager of Special Projects plays a vital role in the successful completion of merger and acquisition projects, multi-site improvements, and maintenance of current store brand image and assets.

• Plan, execute and manage projects related to site mergers and acquisitions.
• Evaluate Merger and Aquisition's of site conditions and equipment packages creating check lists and clear deliverables for successful execution.
• Identify needs within operating sites to define project scope and prioritize execution plans for special projects throughout the portfolio.
• Complete post completion walk-throughs of newly developed sites to ensure equipment installation aligns with company and operational standards.
• Track key tasks through detailed project plans establishing timelines and accountable parties.
• Manage project execution ensuring that all internal and external team members meet expectations and successfully complete their roles and responsibilities.
• Coordinate and manage construction activities, car wash equipment upgrades, and rebranding with multiple vendors to ensure project quality, goals, and timelines are met.
• Communicate project tasks and status with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate, Marketing, IT, and Operations.
• Reprioritize project initiatives based on upcoming site acquisitions and immediate needs for new and existing sites.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience and administration.
• Car Wash Experience is preferred.
• Experience with Procore and Bluebeam are a plus.
• Proficient in project management tools and software, Smartsheet’s preferred.
• Must be able to read construction drawings and shop drawings
• Excellent organization, leadership, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced / entrepreneurial environment
