Home & Garden District Manager
This is a full-time position requiring day, evening and weekend availability and ability to travel to our Home & Garden stores.

Responsibilities
- Oversees the day to day and profitable operation of several Stauffers of Kissel Hill Home & Garden Stores
- Operates as a member of the Home & Garden Line of Business Leadership Team, attending all required meetings in person and virtually.
- Ensures the stores are delivering the Stauffers Brand everyday in cleanliness, merchandising and store conditions.
- Functions as a working manager. Working in each store, getting to know the team members and works to coach, teach, train and develop team members to improve performance.
- Communicates with the Buyers regarding new products, merchandising and pricing.
- Inspects all home and garden stores as part of the seasonal inspection tours.
- Works with the COO and Marketing to create and implement Marketing initiatives
- Establishes and carries out a plan for regular store visitation
- Assists the COO in the development and implementation of the HGLOB Fiscal Budget.
- Analyze daily and weekly sales and labor reports; and direct store management in making adjustments to meet the budget plan for sales and labor
- Analyze monthly and semi-fiscal Line Of Business reports and direct store management in making adjustments to meet the budget plan for gross margin, operating expenses, and inventory levels
- Stays up to date with industry trends by attending trade shows, pier group visit, etc. As directed by the COO.
- Visits competition to stay aware of the marketplace and our position in it.
- Ensures Store Teams are maintaining all company owned equipment in the stores supervised
- Ensures store teams training, evaluations, and performance challenges are up to date, followed up on involving HR whenever needed.
- Interviews, selects, and trains new employees in coordination with the Human Resources and Training Division.
Qualifications
- Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week and adjust to work load.
- Willingness to transfer to any SKH location, as needed.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages and volume
