Job Summary : The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant II include preparing, directing, guiding and monitoring the creation and maintenance of various ledgers, registers, financial statement prep, subsidiary accounting records, journals, varied fiscal reports, etc.
The Staff Accountant II will report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of financial reports.
- Identify and report issues which affect cash flow, expenses and balances
- Execute and oversee accounting functions, including maintaining the general ledger, month-end close and year end close, audit, etc
- Examine financial records, collect information, prepare reports and make recommendations, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, etc
- Special projects and reporting as needed

On-site at the Oak Brook Corporate Office, M-Th, 8 : 30a-5 : 00p, Friday, 8 : 30a-3p- 1-day WFH
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 4+ years Accounting experience
- Experience in Multifamily is preferred
- Experienced user of Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining error free work.
- Should have excellent organization skills and be able to prioritize multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment
- Quick learner and self-motivated
- Property accounting experience a plus!
- Excellent Leadership skills
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
