Position Summary

The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components : first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

We are currently looking for a talented Head of Direct Sales, leading the largest team of senior sales leaders and sellers focused on direct relationships with key advertisers and agency partners.

This is a new role, reporting to the VP, Ad Sales & Operations, North America and will have a seat at the table’ on the leadership team.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team of 6 sales directors (managers of managers) across North America, ensuring that the team exceeds its revenue goals.
  • Manage the overall direct sales pipeline to ensure accurate and informed forecasting for leadership.
  • Develop and lead a culture of productivity and sales efficiency always looking for ways to improve sales and seller performance.
  • Act as a senior leader in the industry, interacting with CMOs, Heads of Media, Agency Investment leads and others to advocate for Samsung Ads’ sellers.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders across Product Marketing, Sales Marketing, Client Services, Operations, Agency Development and Indirect Sales.

Job Experience and Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the video, connected TV, and mobile media ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing sales teams and exceeding quota.
  • Brings a well-informed playbook on how to drive revenue success.
  • Exceptional coach who leads by example and is willing to jump in the trenches with his team.
  • Nimble executive who needs little support to drive success.
  • Dynamic personality with the desire and capability to succeed with others.
  • Successful internal and external relationship management at both executive and staff levels.
  • Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
  • Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person, over the phone or video conference.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • 16+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher or TV network group.
  • 10-15 years of sales leadership experience, with the most recent role leading and managing a team of senior leaders to drive exceptional revenue performance.

NEW YORK ONLY

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $280,000 and $320,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
