About the role

Crunchyroll Games hold a special significance for our fans, serving as a vibrant gateway to immersive experiences deeply rooted in beloved anime worlds.

With each game, fans are transported into captivating narratives and given the opportunity to interact firsthand with their favorite characters and settings.

As a Staff Security Engineer, Partnerships, you will provide the client security strategy and client engineering solutions to protect content, application integrity, and subscriber data.

You are responsible for integrating the engineering security features for all Crunchyroll client applications, working directly with client platform teams within and outside of Crunchyroll.

In the role of Staff Security Engineer, Partnerships, you will report to the Senior Director, Partner Services and Tools.

We are considering applicants for the location(s) of San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, or US-Remote.

About You

• You have strong software development experience.
• You have experience with iOS, tvOS and App Store development and security models.
• You have experience with Android and Google Play Store development and security models.
• You have low Level reverse engineering skill set and understanding of software vulnerability exploits.
• You are energized by a diverse and constantly evolving environment to deliver innovative solutions to security challenges.
• You can perform code reviews, static and dynamic analysis.
• You take ownership of deliverables from end to end, including requirements, design, implementation, test, and deployment.

Nice To Have :

• Experience working with game development and engines such as Unity and Unreal.
• Flexible language skills including C / C++, Swift, Java, Python, and Kotlin.
• Fuzzing experience.
• Android NDK experience.
• Experience executing and developing incident response playbooks.

The Technology Partnerships team at Crunchyroll plays a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding our users' experiences. We collaborate extensively with a diverse network of device, payment, and gaming partners to broaden the reach of Crunchyroll's offerings.
