Job Summary

Responsible for the strategic coordination and execution of client marketing, servicing, risk management and / orsalesactivities,followingestablishedindustryandcompanyguidelinesandmeetingallperformancerequirementsregarding production, quality and ensuring that no liability associated with errors and omissions occur.

Primarilyresponsible for managing a book of business and increasing account retention, and capable of resolving the mostcomplexcustomerserviceproblems,showingtheabilityforcriticalthinkingandthoughtprocessintakingthenextstep in the best interest of the client, carrier partner and IOA.

May also be responsible for significant accountexpansion and cross-selling, while others are principally focused on client retention.

Actively seeks to grow IOAbusiness, including identifying and acting on sales opportunities. Additionally responsible for directing day-to-dayactivities and workflow, team communication and support, training and development under the direction ofOperations Leadership.

Quickly and responsibly alerts Management to any individual or team performance / professionalism issues, collaborates as needed regarding any corrective actions to be taken, and supports andparticipates in implementation.

Resource for account teams and Producers on the insurance brokerage businessand assignedclient’s needs.

What You’ll Do :

  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry / market expertise
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to ensure beneficial outcomes for clients and IOA
  • Direct day-to-day activities and workflow assigned to account team which includes delegation and prioritization of assignment / task, communication on performance expectations, and monitoring execution to ensure performance requirements and timelines are met
  • Assist in monitoring team performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, recommending corrective actions to Management when appropriate
  • Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of account team and / or new hire
  • Schedule and facilitate brief team meetings.
  • Participate in team member’s performance evaluation process by providing feedback to Management
  • Lead implementation and enforcement of all company work rules, standards and policies and procedures in team
  • Ensure compliance with core work processes throughout the branch, including identifying, adopting and demonstrating best practices
  • Participate in new employee selection process, including interviewing and making hiring recommendation
  • Serve as an account management Subject Matter Expert, answering questions, providing support, and developing solutions to client problems for account team and Producers
  • Effectively manage assigned client relationships as an extension of the Producer and / or representative of IOA, including conducting one-on-one client meetings, preparing and presenting periodic account summaries, recommending coverages and policy changes and negotiating / closing new business and renewals
  • Serve as information / communication conduit between Producer(s) and account team, when applicable
  • Management and execution of a variety of customer service, account management, risk management and value-added service including but not limited to : account activity;
  • policy administration and insurance placement; billing activity; claims administration; coverage / loss analysis; contract review for insurability;
  • review policy forms and endorsements; review audits; identify errors and facilitate corrective actions; Certificates of Insurance;

Evidences of Property; and Cancellation / Reinstatements

  • Manage policy expirations for existing clients and works proactively to ensure appropriate actions are taken to facilitate renewals and ensures all new and renewal insurance policies are bound, billed and issued accurately and delivered to the Client / Insured within required timeframe
  • Manage new business and policy renewal process independently, or in conjunction with Producer, including but not limited to : Conduct client research and gathering complete underwriting informationConduct Loss Run AnalysisPrepare complete and accurate submissions including Acord applications and / or supplemental forms;

sending out to market and / or performing Online Rating as requiredEvaluate and negotiating coverages and pricingPrepare and present ProposalsBindcoverage and comply with any subjectivity(ies) as required by carrier, Surplus Lines Association and / or IOAPrepare and execute Premium Finance Agreements, when applicableDiligent follow up for Policy IssuanceReview all policies, identifying and notifying AM and / or Producer of any discrepancies and ensuring that all necessary changes are submitted to and issued by the carrierMaintain accurate and complete policy transaction detail, schedules and Summaries of Insurance

  • Monitor Accounts Receivables reports and takes action on any delinquent accounts along with collecting outstanding balances due
  • Maintain agency management system, other agency supported systems and carrier / vendor online platforms, ensuring all data entered is complete, clearly presented and well-documented, accurate, and up-to-date
  • Monitor and maintain activity / suspense, taking necessary action to ensure completion within required time frame
  • Maintain frequent, transparent communication with account team regarding individual and team client service and policy administration activities, ensuring that the Producer is fully informed of workload status, questions, concerns and / or any errors, discrepancies or changes as it relates to the account and their insurance policies and facilitates appropriate / corrective actions
  • Deliver excellent service at all times, including proactively anticipating needs, maintaining frequent and professional communication, and responding quickly to service requests
  • Continually stay abreast of all company policies and procedures to ensure good knowledge, execution and compliance of standard operating procedures
  • Continually seek to improve individual and team performance, including identifying, communicating and adopting best practices

  • Regular and consistent attendance is expected and a necessary component to the job
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For :

5 years of industry experience; or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience

Possesses an in-depth knowledge of the insurance brokerage business and assigned clients’ needs

Has the stature and experience needed to cover the largest and / or most complex accounts

All required active licensing

At least one professional designation preferred, such as CIC or equivalent

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

Excellent organizational, prioritization and delegation skills

Exceptional customer advocacy skills

Outstanding verbal / written communication skills

Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy and attention to detail

PC proficiency, including basic knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Exceptional personal character

High School Diploma (or equivalent)
