Position is responsible for the operation of molding & assembly equipment and the packaging of molded and / or assembled components per company and customer specifications
Job Description
Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement,
- GMP and standard work procedures
- Maintain clean work space and 5S Standards in work area
- Complete visual inspection of product per production specification for defects
- Report identified visual defects to Supervisor or Process Technician
- Package and label product per customer specification
- Enter daily production and scrap data into Mattec
- Operate Assembly or package equipment as required per Product specifications
- Complete production and workstation documentation as required.
- Maintain Lean initiatives and participate in lean projects
- Perform in-process visual inspection to identify gross defects
- Completes and fills out QC Information tickets
- Perform in-process inspections to confirm product meets customer specification
- Provide suggestions and take active role in Process Improvements to eliminate non-value added activity
- Complete Assembly and auxiliary equipment (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance activities
- Responsible for Kanban system associate with work cell to insure materials are properly staged
- Performs Scale set-up and operation of scales
- Complete cycle checklist
- Complete IMM and Mold (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance activities
- Responsible for answering alarms, stopping and restarting molding machines, press mold cleanings and completion of cycle check list (CCL) at specified times
- Lot Record Package management (Printing SAP Documents and Labels, Open and Close lots)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- High School Diploma, GED or Five Years Injection Molding Machine Experience
- Basic Math and Computer Skills
- Be a self-starter with excellent problem solving, decision making and follow-through skills
Work Environment :
- Works in clean room manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
- Must be able to lift up to 55 LB
