Prairie AquaTech Manufacturing, LLC dba Houdek is a manufacturing company based in Volga South Dakota that is improving animal health and nutrition by providing high-quality feed ingredients.

Using patent-pending technologies licensed on a worldwide, exclusive basis from South Dakota State University and developed internally, the Company is upgrading soybean meal to high-quality ingredients used in aquaculture and other animal feeds.

Overview : As a Global Petfood Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of sales activities related to petfood products and services on a global scale.

Leveraging your expertise in petfood and sales management, you will develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and build strong relationships with key clients worldwide.

This role requires a blend of leadership, business acumen, and technical knowledge to effectively navigate the dynamic landscape of the aquaculture industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration in the petfood industry worldwide.
  • Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the company's footprint in key markets.
  • Client Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and motivate a global sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and individual performance excellence.
  • Market Analysis : Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats, informing strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting : Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate insightful reports to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall business objectives and seamless execution of projects.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols in all sales activities and client interactions.
  • Customer Advocacy : Serve as a vocal advocate for customers within the organization, championing their needs and preferences to drive continuous improvement and innovation in product offerings and service delivery.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
  • Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the petfood industry, with a strong understanding of global market dynamics and trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious sales targets and deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical prowess, capable of translating market insights into actionable plans and driving continuous improvement in sales processes and performance.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial principles, budget management, and revenue forecasting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in all business dealings.

Preferred Additional Skills :

  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to key markets in the petfood industry.
  • Experience working with petfood technology, equipment, or related products.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales enablement tools for effective pipeline management and performance tracking.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a keen interest in promoting responsible petfood practices and mitigating environmental impacts.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.
