We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll, a deep understanding of wage and hour laws, tax laws, and will be well-versed in HRIS and Paylocity.
Experience in the automotive dealership industry and advanced Excel skills will be highly advantageous. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities :
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wage and hour laws, tax laws, and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance.
3. Utilize HRIS and Paylocity for effective payroll management and record keeping.
4. Resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries regarding payroll.
5. Prepare reports on payroll information for management review.
6. Collaborate with the HR team to manage employee data and records.
7. Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
8. Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
9. Continually improve payroll processes and systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the finance industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of wage and hour laws, tax laws, and other relevant regulations.
3. Proficiency in HRIS and Paylocity.
4. Experience in the automotive dealership industry is highly preferred.
5. Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll information in a clear and understandable manner.
9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. A high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
